OMG! Basketball Wives! Forget Rome, forget Evelyn and Jennifer, forget everything and just focus on Tami and Meeka.
I can't explain how shocked/entertained/hypnotized I was when Tami finally did what we ALL want to do on a weekly basis while watching Basketball Wives: smack Meeka in the face. (This blog is for entertainment purposes only and in no way condones violence against anyone for any reason.)
Tami had had enough of Meeka's double-talk and got straight to the point. If you haven't seen it, find it and watch it right now. Really. I'll wait.
Well, Meeka didn't enjoy it as much as I did, apparently, because she's suing Tami for assault, battery, and a few other things and is asking for an unspecified amount of money. Evidently, getting smacked on a reality show cost her a paycheck ... really? I would think it actually generates more interest in you and brings you more attention, which you can turn into more paychecks? Am I wrong? It worked for Snooki and that guy that punched her at the bar on the first season of Jersey Shore, I'm just saying.
Needless to say, I think the lawsuit is ridiculous. Not because I think it's ok to hit people. But because Meeka BEGGED to be on this show, she acted like a fool, and she got on Tami's bad side. Tami is who she is - which I love - but you gotta know that SHE's not the one to mess with. That's YOUR bad, Meeka. Should have planned a little bit better and maybe you wouldn't be in this mess.
Also, Royce, where is your blog for this week? I need your take on this! Stat!
Alright, kids, take care and tweet me @humorandspice! Later!
WARNING! This is NOT a recap-based blog. This is an OPINION-BASED blog. In other words, my opinions, thoughts, and feelings about reality tv, music, pop culture, and everything in between. That's right, MY blog, MY point of view. Don't agree? Agree? Either way, tweet me @humorandspice!

SHUT UP! - Real Housewives of New York Reunion (Part 1)
Good morning, friends and fellow Bravo fans!
Part 1 of the Real Housewives of New York Reunion was crazy. I think it might have been the most aggressive, loud, and off the rails reunion ever. And that's saying something!
First, let's talk about Andy losing it and telling all of the 'wives to shut the eff up. Hilarious! I've always wondered how he gets through these reunions without exploding, but this time he just couldn't contain it. If you haven't seen it, here's the link: http://www.bravotv.com/the-real-housewives-of-new-york-city/season-4/videos/the-wives-just-dont-shut-up/
Now, I gotta address Kelly. Poor, delusional Kelly. She really doesn't know what comes out of her moth from one minute to the next, does she? I loved that Sonja called her out on her comments about Sonja's home, and of course, Kelly denied it and said she didn't say anything wrong. Even after Sonja repeated it, verbatim, she didn't take responsibility. Guess that's because in Kellyland, words evaporate into thin air after you say them and no one ever remembers the past or has feelings. Because that's so 1970's!
Alright, on to Miss Cindy. Now, I actually think Cindy is a genuinely nice person. But that's kind of her downfall. During the reunion, she couldn't compete with the craziness so she just got angry and pouty. No bueno, Cindy. If you wanna play in this sandbox, you gotta play by the rules. And the rules are, there are no rules. For Cindy to think that these ladies are going to show her any type of respect or give her any kind of credit is pretty naive. You gotta remember, Cin, they were here first. Not that I agree with it, it's just the way it is. But I did enjoy Cindy telling Luann not to tell her what to do, that was fun.
Next up, Jill vs. Ramona - Round 56. Seriously, these women have been at it since season 1. Can we say: lost cause? You two are never going to be friends, let's be real. I think they are actually in cahoots to keep the crazy going so they both remain on the show. Or not. Who cares? It's DRAMA! Anywhoo, Ramona's best line was that she still gets her period, which keeps her looking young, therefore she doesn't need a "liquid lift"! LOL! Did anyone else catch that? You know Jill did. Speaking of Jill, the venom was flowing for sure. She needs to calm down and get her digs in like Luann, sly and under the radar. Jill's outbursts only make the target on her back bigger. We are now all sick of Jill's mean-girl routine. As Jill would say, we're done!
Luann, Countess, LuLu, whatever her name is this week, was putting on her victim beret for the night. Forgive me for not feeling sorry for someone who literally treats people as if they are beneath her. I have no sympathy for her, and I was kind of glad Ramona brought up Luann's daughter. Here's why: Luann's daughter is no angel, and neither is Luann. It perfectly illustrates Luann's whole persona - the Countess, class and etiquette expert, perfect mother - really is just a house of cards. It's a fact, her daughter has been filmed doing some not so classy things ... look it up. I actually feel bad for Luann's kids, they don't seem to be close to her at all, unless you count shopping for skimpy cocktail dresses close. Luann's marriage to the Count was brought up and again, Ramona says it was an open marriage. Bethenny also eluded to this in past reunions/seasons. Why can't Luann just give up the charade and say YES, the Count and I had an understanding ... or whatever the classy way of saying it would be. Come on, LuLu, we see your true colors.
Sonja is finally back on my good side and I'm so happy. She seems like a genuine person, but unlike Cindy, knows how to bring the crazy and when to reel it in. She knows exactly which sandbox she's in, and she plays the game pretty well. Sonja's really harmless, not out to get anyone, and has fun in the process. What's not to love? Well, I could do without seeing her undies/lack thereof, but I'll give her a pass because she makes me laugh. At the beginning of the season, she was behaving strangely, and now we know why. Don't scare us like that again, Son!! You stay fun and bubbly and you'll have fans for life.
Alex was on point last night. Even though she did interrupt and interject at times, like I said, there are no rules. And I find it funny that the brunettes were all on the same page about silencing Alex. Here's what, brunettes, her blog says it all. You can't shush that. So speak on, Alex. You speak the truth, and you don't take any crap from any of these ladies. You're not afraid to admit when you're wrong, which certain people just don't understand. One of the best exchanges of part one was Alex telling Cindy ... um ... what may possibly help her relax? LOL, awkward but funny. I also thought it was funny that Jill had to be told (by Alex) to say the effing bitch comment to her face. You would think Jill of all people would have no problem doing just that. But we know now that Jill is a coward. She'll wait till you're gone to make her rude comments, and she won't address things face to face unless it's convenient for her. Otherwise, she'll avoid it like the plague.
Which brings me to Bethenny! Who knew she was on the show this season? Oh yeah, she wasn't. But Jill keeps dragging out the Bethenny card to prove how much she's changed. Newsflash, Jill, you haven't. And Bethenny still doesn't want anything to do with you. Jill has the nerve to say that Alex and Ramona never wanted Jill and Bethenny to make up, which is just plain not true. Ramona did try in New York. By the time they went to Scary Island it was too late. That's what Jill fails to understand. When you tell someone you no longer want to be friends with them, not once, but multiple times, you can't be mad when they no longer want anything to do with you. No matter how many times you apologize. It's over because you ended it. Now leave Bethenny out of it, and move on.
Part 2 will be even more insane and I cannot wait. Thank you, Bravo, for making me smile and escape from an otherwise melancholy and sad couple of days.

Amy Winehouse - Gone But Not Forgotten
I am so very sad today. Amy Winehouse was an amazing performer, singer, songwriter, and all-around charmer. And now she's gone.
From what I've read today, the cause of death could be overdose, seizure, or other health complications caused by drugs and alcohol. Unfortunately, this isn't a huge shock. We all knew she wasn't taking care of herself. In fact, recently, I posted a blog (An Open Letter to Amy Winehouse) begging her to sober up and get healthy.
The real tragedy might be that Amy's tabloid scandals may have overshadowed her music in a lot of people's minds. But I say, let's remember her music. Her voice was emotional and soulful, her lyrics were clever and raw, and her stage presence was undeniable. When she was ON, she was amazing.
Her battle with drugs and alcohol was fully documented in tabloids, gossip sites, blogs, and youtube videos. It was truly sad for her fans to see her spiral out of control over and over again. The latest disappointment was her Belgrade show in June of this year. She stumbled, wobbled, and pouted through her songs, occasionally sang a few lines before yelling something incoherent to the audience, then dropping the microphone and walking away. People wrote it off as her latest stunt, just one of many.
Who knew that would be her last performance? Sure, she danced on stage just this past week with her niece, the talented Dionne Bromfield. At least in this video, she looks happy and relaxed, dare I say, kind of healthy? Maybe that's what hurts the most. She looked good this week. So how did this happen?
We may never know. Even if her family, friends, record company, or lawyers release a statement, I doubt we'll ever get the whole story. I just hope that this is a wake-up call to all the young (and not-so-young) celebs out there who think they're invincible. Drugs and alcohol are no joke. Wake up, kids.
I'll always love Amy Winehouse's music, her swagger, and her style. I hate the fact that she's gone. I just hope we can all stop and learn something from it.
We love you, Amy ...

BEST NIGHT EVER!
Ok - I'm going to cut right to the chase - I met Kathy Griffin tonight.
Let me repeat that. I met Emmy winner Kathy Griffin tonight.
It was so amazing!!! First of all, I have to thank Team Griffin and kathygriffin.net. I won the meet & greet through kathygriffin.net and it was honestly one of the most exciting moments of my life. So unbelievably cool ...
So I won the meet & greet and the email said to arrive an hour early and go to the box office to get our backstage passes. Which we did and we were informed that we were not going to be given backstage passes but once the doors opened we should go to the merch table and they would help us there. Doors opened, we went to the merch table and I politely said, "We were told to come here and check in for the meet & greet ..." The girl looked at me and said something about not knowing what I was talking about. So I go back to the box office and tell the gentleman behind the glass that the merch maidens are clueless, to which they responded (somewhat annoyed) to go wait *by* the merch table.
Finally a nice man came and gave us our wristband. It was all so exciting. Everyone was really friendly and it was like we were all part of some special club ... which we kind of were. A few minutes later we were being lead over to the dressing room. As we walked through the lobby area people were staring at our wristbands, seething with jealousy!
We end up backstage, and we all line up by couple (winner plus guest). My sister and I were in the middle of the pack and we could hear Kathy saying hello to the people who entered before us (and Tiffany's infectious, contagious laughter). Finally it was our turn, and I honestly thought I was going to cry.
(Let me just go on a little tangent here - Kathy is one of my heroes. She is truly an inspiration to me. I'll spare you the mushy stuff and just say that I really admire her and what she does.)
Kathy said hello and asked us our names. I told her and hugged her and thanked her for letting us meet her. I even hugged Tiffany! Tiffany then took some pictures of us with our cameras and we chatted quickly with Kathy as she signed my book and my sister's ticket stub. Kathy was so gracious, kind, and sweet. She asked us how we won the meet and greet, and asked me to post the pictures on her website (which I will be doing shortly - kathygriffin.net). Kathy told us to laugh at her jokes and said goodbye, and out the door we went. But not before I freaked out and thought I lost my camera, which was hanging from my wrist LOL! I think my words were, "Oh my god, I'm such a spaz!" And we went out to our seats.
The show was hilarious!! It's kind of a blur now, but she touched on several celebrity encounters, reality tv, silly politicians, and much much more. Kathy showed Fresno so much love! She talked about the drive from LA, shopping at one of the many Fresno Target stores, and eating beerrocks ... which are like meaty hot pockets. Kathy was warm, engaging, and totally inappropriate. I really enjoyed it.
Even if I hadn't won the meet & greet, I still would have had a great time. Kathy has a way of making you feel like we're all just hanging out having fun. She encourages the audience to let her know whether we're on board with her or not. Needless to say, we were all on board and prepared to take that 2 hour journey with her, no doubt about it.
Best show ever - Kathy is incredible! See her when she comes to your town!

Keep It Gangster!
Hello!!! It's been a little while since I blogged last and I honestly don't have a set topic for this blog, so bare with me - it may be a windy road we're about to embark on ... Let's just go for it, shall we?
I need to express my love for Zoila Chavez on "Flipping Out" on Bravo. She is so amazingly cute and charming. She has an air about her that makes you feel like she's just who she is. No posing, no acting, no pretending. She is who she is. How refreshing! Last week, she told Jeff to "Keep it gangster" and I nearly fell off my couch laughing. I suspect Jeff taught her that phrase and asked her to say it whenever possible to amuse him, and it works. Now, I am a little peeved that Zoila gets a facelift on this season of "Flipping Out", maybe I'm afraid her face won't be as expressive. Or maybe I'm afraid she'll lose her personality along with the fine lines and wrinkles? I like her face the way it is - or was, I should say. Hopefully she'll reveal her new face on Watch What Happens Live soon. That would be a good time. And quite gangster as well.
I didn't get to see all of Basketball Wives last night, but from what I saw, I'm so proud of Tami for standing up for Royce. The fact that Royce was excluded but Meeka was included in the Rome trip is really ridiculous. Come on, Shaunie. Meeka's gotta go. Let's hope she doesn't come back for season 4.
The Mob Wives reunion was pretty tame. But definitely entertaining. Wendy Williams did a fantastic job as host, and I could just imagine her up in the club with the Mob Wives having a grand old time! She fit in so well, and they all seemed really comfortable talking to her. There were no crazy moments on the reunion. Not even Renee walking off the set. I was kind of surprised that Carla and Renee were crazier than Drita and Karen. Seems like Karen and Drita are playing nice, if not friendly, for the time being. Drita recently tweeted something to the effect that they can't stay mad at each other for long. Me, personally, could do without Karen. Drama! Speaking of, VH1 has "Team" tanks and tees for $19.99 right now - as in Team Drita, Team Karen, Team Renee, and Team Carla. I'm definitely getting a Team Drita tank. I've been repping Team Drita since episode 1! Can't wait till season 2!
It's late and I must go to sleep but I didn't want to let another day go by without blogging. Life is busy, but I like it. The busier I am, the better I feel. Have a great night and don't forget to tweet me @humorandspice. Follow me and I usually follow back.

Summertime Blues
How about this weather? No matter what part of the world you live in, the weather is a beast right now. On the west coast, we're literally in a frying pan. But that's what air conditioning is for, right?
Well, huntees, it's summertime, and I don't know if it's just me, but it feels a little melancholy. I feel like I haven't done half of the things on my summer to-do list, and my goal of rocking a bikini-bod did not come to fruition quite as well as I'd hoped. But fear not! There's still a lot of juicy tv for us to enjoy this summer.
First: FLIPPING OUT!!! Flipping Out premieres TONIGHT on Bravo at 9 pm. I cannot tell you how much I adore this show. Jeff Lewis is the most hilarious (even if it's not intentional) boss ever. I've had some nightmare bosses, and believe me, I'd much rather watch Jeff Lewis than work for him. He is pure entertainment gold. My girl Jenni Pulos is super funny as well. I love her attitude and her sense of humor. I'm glad she's still on the show. I wasn't so sure she'd stick around ... but she did, and that's great for us! Trace and Sarah are also back, and I'm kind of looking forward to seeing Sarah get yelled at. She's SO ditzy. I was hoping she'd grow out of it, but I guess not-sies. My favorite of all is Ms. Zoila. She is my life when this show is on. If you don't know what I'm talking about, go to bravotv.com and watch any video you can with her in it. You'll thank me later.
Now, I know it's just the reunion, but at least we get the Mob Wives for one more night on Sunday, July 10th at 8 pm on VH1. It'll be hosted by Wendy Williams, and I can guarantee it'll be amazing. These women need to bring it, and answer the tough questions that I'm sure Wendy has for them. By the way, new Wendy Williams shows will be back in September, which I'm kind of bummed about. It's been like 3 months without new Wendy shows!!! But I guess she deserved the summer off, homegirl is hustlin': hosting reunions, hosting game shows, etc. How you doin'?
Of course, we still have Basketball Wives, which is getting interesting. Has anyone else noticed that every show is missing one castmate or another? One show Tami will be out of the mix, the next Shaunie, the next Royce? I don't know why they do that. There's enough room for everyone in each episode, believe me, they just need to quit repeating stuff over and over and showing the same thing we just saw before the commercials, after the commercials! Does that make sense? I hope so. Anyway, if you have a chance, read Royce's blog on vh1.com. It's insightful and funny and honest. I really like her.
I'm trying to get into Million Dollar Decorators and Rocco's Dinner Party - I think this tonight's Dinner Party with the Roastmaster General, comedian Jeffrey Ross, will be just the thing to lighten up my Wednesday night. I'm still trying to decide if I like Rocco or not. In a way, I do because he's suave and a little sarcastic, which I love, but then again, he can be kind of annoying. I just don't know about him. Regarding Million Dollar Decorators, the only one that holds my attention is Mary McDonald. The whole show should be about her - she's funny and a little koo-koo. I'm just saying.
Celebrity Rehab is back and I don't know how much I'll watch. Besides the fact that Michael Lohan makes my stomach turn, I wonder if it's just too heavy for my summer tv palate. I need something light, fun, and breezy. Not sad, tragic, and depressing.
Take, for instance, Ice Loves Coco, which airs Sunday nights on E. Perfect summer show. Ice is hilarious and Coco seems like a sweet person. Their relationship seems real and honest, and I can respect that. There's very little drama, and when there is, it's usually wrapped up in a nice little bow at the end of the episode. Oh and I read Ice's book, which was really interesting and very inspiring. That guy's been through it all. No wonder he's so laid back. Life is definitely good for him these days.
And don't you dare forget about RuPaul's Drag U on Logo! If you don't get Logo, you can always watch online on logotv.com. See my previous blog (Dragnificent!) for more on this amazing show. I'm about to watch the second episode right now!!!
Finally, I must again pay homage to Andy Cohen and his show, Watch What Happens Live. I will be watching on Sundays and Thursdays, no matter what. And don't forget to tune into the Live (for the east coast) Aftershow on bravotv.com immediately following the tv broadcast.
Happy Summer, happy tv viewing, and as always, I appreciate your comments and tweets (@humorandspice)!!!
