Happy Friday, my friends! I'm so excited to do these blogs that by Friday, I'm like bursting with energy, so I hope that comes through in today's posts. Let's talk about Shahs of Sunset - I loved this episode. Everyone was getting along for the most part and we got a lot of quality family time, which is always great. I forgot to mention Omid's hair feathers last week, but thank the fad gods, there they were again this week! Is this a thing for guys? I didn't think so. GG, fix that, please. Anyway, the episode was a lot of fun so let's judge these reality stars!
GG: Thanks to Twitter, we know you and Omid have slowed down and you're not marching down the aisle any time soon. I have to wonder if his player ways haven't subsided? I liked the scene with you and MJ because you two were able to listen to each other and air your grievances without getting crazy. Which is awesome. I agree with you, it is annoying for someone to uninvite you to a trip and then bug you about how bad the trip is going. I hope you ignored her texts! At least for a few hours! Honestly, you were right to not want to hear about anything that happened on the trip at all. Now, you know I'm gonna flip out on you next week for waving that knife around (watch the preview here), but don't worry, this week's grade won't reflect that. GG's grade for the week: A (for actually COMMUNICATING!!!).
MJ: It's hard to watch these episodes with you and Reza getting along because we know things are not ok in real life right now. When you were on Watch What Happens Live, you spilled all the tea and let us know - especially on the Aftershow - that you feel wronged by Reza and his crew. And I honestly don't blame you. So, forgive me if I can't separate what's on the episode from what's happening now. With that being said, you were an awesome friend to Reza on this episode and it made me wish that you two would work out your issues and make up for good already. You were hilarious in the go kart race, by the way! As for your conversation with GG, you were wrong to blow up her phone about the trip and Asa and all of the Cabo stuff because it was insult enough to uninvite her in the first place. You just added insult to injury, so to speak, when you decided to give her the play by play of a vacation that she was so unceremoniously excluded from. However, you stated your case to GG and communicated with her - which, in my book, counts for a lot. MJ's grade for the week: B (she was a good friend this week and had an honest exchange with GG).
Mike: Congratulations on your girlfriend meeting your family, it went well! That's awesome! I have to ask, what's the deal with the teeth whitening? Isn't that dangerous? Anyway, you were very good with Reza's family and it looks like you got along with everyone in New York. No surprise there. Mike's grade for the week: B (I like Mike, but damn, those teeth are white enough!).
Reza: I'm so glad everything went well with your family and especially with your grandmother. There seems to be so much secrecy going on, so that definitely doesn't help you to make peace with all these things that happened when you were younger. I love that you forgave your dad and also, your grandmother, because you're absolutely right. You can't hold on to that stuff. You weren't there for all the problems between your grandparents, and no one is going to reveal what happened, so you just have to leave all of it in the past and trust that the love you have for your family is enough to move things forward from now on. You were on good terms with MJ this week on the show, but like I told MJ, it sucks that we know you two are on the outs again. You guys really need to work this out. Reza's grade for the week: A (the family stuff really spoke to me).
Asa: Ok, I hate saying this, but ... I'm a little tired of this whole diamond water thing. I'm not saying it's not a good idea, because it is. But you really just go overboard with this whole energy thing. I'm pretty sure the diamond was beautiful but you tried it when you said it was vibrating and giving you energy. Come on, gurl. Then, you had this whole ceremony thing in the warehouse ... I was just over it. I like you and respect you but that just got on my nerves. Having said that, if you like it I love it, do your thing. It's just not for me. And ... I have to point out that your Harlem comment was a little inappropriate. Just saying. Asa's grade for the week: D (I am over the diamond water at this point, sorry).
Lilly: Oh my God. You are the blind date from hell. WHAT WERE YOU THINKING??? Lilly's grade for the week: FAIL (that date was terrible! Come on!)

RHONJ Finale and Reunion Previews
Well kids, here we are at the end of another shit-tastic season of the Real Housewives of New Jersey. I have to say the grand finale fell completely flat for me. I kept waiting for the "set up" and, like Kelly Ripa said on Watch What Happens Live on Sunday, it never came. So what, a guy at a party says hi to Melissa and asks if she remembers him. That I know of, he didn't lunge at her and grab the mic and proclaim to the crowd that she was a stripper, did he? Did I miss that part? I mean, when someone says "set up", I'm picturing Goodfellas/Godfather caliber stuff. This wasn't even Goodfeathers. You 90s kids know what I'm talking about.
I hate to even entertain this ridiculous "set up" bullshit because here's what, I have a terrible feeling that this was all some idiot producer's idea. Seriously. It is so convenient that they dug up Angelo the Asshole and partnered him with halfwit Kim D - probably the only two people on Earth stupid enough (or desperate enough for camera time) to agree to this. As for Teresa being in on it, who knows. She looked genuinely confused (not uncommon for her, let's be real) and really didn't seem to enjoy any of this. I do think she should have called Melissa as soon as Angelo talked to her at the salon and warned her that this guy was talking about her like that. With that creepy smile no less. Teresa said all the right things, "Don't talk about my family", for example. But that's really as far as she went with it. I saw her walking around trying to find people to confront, but again, conveniently, they weren't there.
That's why I think this wasn't Teresa's deal. Clearly, if it was, she wouldn't be able to contain her joy over some guy talking bad about her sister in law. Wait, wasn't she already doing that? So, what's the payoff again? Maybe something got screwed up and the plot didn't go as planned. I just want to see the blueprints. Because someone f*cked up.
Moving on to the other ladies (we'll get back to Teresa later), Melissa seemed way too calm when Teresa told her about her conversation with Angelo. Was it just me? Because I think I would have been a little more animated about that. In fact, she seemed almost annoyed that Teresa was sharing this information with her. Maybe because by that time, she had already been embarrassed? I don't know. That whole bathroom scene was so odd to me. I hate to say this, but what if - WHAT IF - Melissa already knew exactly who Angelo was and what he was saying??? Something about her response was so ... prepared. And THEN, she coaches Joe Gorga on what to say to his sister??? SO STUPID!!! I lost a lot of respect for her after that.
As for Caroline, it does not surprise me that she was jumping at the chance to blame Teresa for everything. Honestly, it makes sense. She and Lauren were having a blast reciting all the proof they had as to why Teresa had to have been behind this. And you know what? Fine. If it makes them feel better, go for it. I have no doubt in my mind that Teresa said Melissa was a stripper. She called her every other name in the book, so why not? It's not that far-fetched. However, I'm not sure Teresa is capable of pulling off this whole elaborate "set up". No shade, but shade. I will say, Caroline should have never showed Melissa the texts on Jacqueline's phone. First of all, she says she has no time for drama, but then she becomes an active participant in it by showing Melissa texts on someone else's phone. So, Caroline should actually say, "I choose when and how to be involved in drama". That's more accurate.
Jacqueline should have just come out and read the texts to everyone. I was getting so annoyed with all the texting and looks and little comments. JUST SAY IT!! I don't care who Jacqueline's "source" was, she should have asked them if they intended for the set up to be so goddamn boring. That's what I want to know. I don't know who Teresa pissed off, but it just seemed like it was all orchestrated to make her look like this evil mastermind (which she's not - a mastermind, I mean - evil, maybe). The face off between Jacqueline and Teresa may have been the realest part of the show, because Teresa looked truly bewildered and Jacqueline had already decided that she wanted nothing to do with Teresa. I will commend Jacqueline on not turning it into a full blown catfight, because that's what it really could have turned into. Instead, she stood her ground and Teresa went back inside the party. Now, I can't be sure if the scenes of Teresa smiling and hugging people were filmed before or after the "set up". I don't trust Bravo and their editing anymore. This whole season has been marred by hack job editing. If the fashion show happened before Teresa's Fabellini party, show us that! It makes so much more sense!

A final word on Kim D. Which "big boys" are you talking about? Angelo? Because, he seems like a big nobody, just like you.
I watched the previews of the Reunion and it just made me sad. In a way, I want the ladies to get it all out on the table, no matter how ugly it is so we can all move on. But, on the other hand, I am not looking forward to how ugly it's going to be. Teresa is obviously going after everyone just like last season's Reunion, and they're all coming for her. I would say it's time for all of the ladies to forgive, but that isn't reality. The reality is, they went on a reality show together and it ruined their relationships with each other forever.
I'm begging Bravo, Andy Cohen, and everyone reading this - get new New Jersey Housewives. Let Teresa have her cookbooks and her Fabellinis. Let Caroline have her radio show. Let Jacqueline be an Autism advocate. Let Melissa have her dance songs. Let Kathy have her dessert line. All of these ladies have accomplished something on this show. It's time to say goodbye for good to this cast. We need all new ladies who aren't mired in decades-long grudges, who can have arguments, but come back together and have fun as a group. We need the light to balance out the dark. If it's all dark, it's not entertaining, it's sad. The drama is only good when there's real friendships there to lift us back up. This is the basis of the entire Housewives franchise. Get back to that.

I'm Over It
This one is going to be short and not so sweet, because, frankly, I'm sick of the Real Housewives of New Jersey. All of them. Get ready folks, and get your glasses, because I am about to READ!! And by the way, the grades are all the same this week: FAIL.
And as for the Housewives Husband Huddle, what a bunch of BS. Chris - if someone is talking about you and your businesses, just call them out on it and call it a day. Joe Gorga - return the man's tools. Joe Giudice - you are NOT perfect and your attitude sucks. Richie - decide whether you're the peacemaker or the potstirrer, because you can't be both.
Caroline: You were WAY out of line with your comments about Teresa's marriage. Now, your observations may not be totally inaccurate, but it was the way you expressed yourself and the look of almost pure joy on your face that worries me. I get that Teresa is annoying, and so is Joe Giudice, but do you have to look so happy while you curse their marriage? I know you have to talk about Teresa and Joe Giudice because you're on the same show and in the interviews/confessionals they ask you your opinion on them, but I definitely feel you could have controlled yourself and not gone to such an ugly place. The truth is, you don't like these people. We get it. But, you're supposed to be the mature, rational one, and you're just making things worse with comments like that. On the other hand, you say it like you mean it. Doesn't mean it's right, though. I just think about how you defend your own marriage and your family and fight so hard when people say negative things about you. Why attack someone else who's already got a target on her back? You did the impossible. You made me feel a smidge of sympathy for Teresa. You have to get over this hatred for her because it's making you look completely nuts.
Jacqueline: I am really tired of all the tabloid talk. I want you to never read one of those magazines again. Seriously. At the time this was taped, I do think you missed Teresa and wanted to be her friend again, but unfortunately, you and Teresa do not live on the same planet emotionally. You have to LET IT GO. I'm sick of seeing you cry for a friend that is clearly fine without you. It happens! Get over it! I hate to be so harsh, but damn! This storyline is so irritating now! I almost want you to blow up and get it over with, because this whole mad/sad/mad/sad business is maddening.
Kathy: I don't think you meant any harm with the cookie comments, let's face facts, they're FAMILY recipes. And you are related. You should know by now who you're dealing with. So, next time, just say "nice book" and get the hell out of dodge. It sucks that when you say ANYTHING even remotely not-kiss-assey to Teresa, she takes it as an insult. As her cousin, you know Teresa, and you know that she is a spoiled brat. Treat her like the child that she is, and be done with it. Please. No more nicey nice, no more awkward small talk, just be as civil as possible. She doesn't appreciate effort. She doesn't appreciate nice. So, treat her like an acquaintance. Some people like to be treated like sh*t - I know these people. The minute you ignore them, that's when they want to kiss your ass.
Melissa: The photo shoot was ok, but I would actually love to see you spend more time on your vocal training. I'm serious. If you worked half as hard on your voice as you do your looks, there would be no questions from anyone about your vocal abilities. Just saying. I have no problem with you wanting to pursue singing. I just think you need to take the SINGING part more seriously. We need to see you work with a vocal coach, we need to see you doing warm ups, we need to see you practice your breathing. If this is your career, you need to treat it as such, and not just a fun game you're playing. Do you know how many people are dying to have a chance to perform on tv? At Beatstock? Have their song on iTunes? Do better, Melissa.
Teresa: I'm getting on everyone this week, so do not be surprised that I'm coming for you right now. First of all, you need to know that not everything is about you all the time. So what Kathy said the cookies in your book were her mom's? You wrote the book! You know whose recipes they are! And is it really so hard to understand that your mom and her mom have the same recipe? Listen to Kathy's tone, it wasn't accusatory at all. Now, let's move on to your comments about Skinnygirl. So you don't like the way it tastes? Fine. Did you have to name it by name in your confessional? NO. Totally unnecessary. The Fabellini business, OMG, I was embarrassed for you. Why did you even bring Joe Giudice along? Nothing but negativity pours out of his mouth, and it's like you can't get enough. I'm tired of you being so defensive about everything. I'm tired of you projecting all of your bullsh*t onto everyone else. I'm tired of this storyline and I'm tired of you. Woman up! You spent the entire episode being mad. Is this how you want to live? And by the way, showing your toddler how to put money in her "bubbies" isn't helping you on this show either.
I am really tired of all the immature, high school idiocy that is happening on this show. If it continues, I cannot watch anymore. Next season better have a revamped cast, and honestly, I don't care who goes or stays at this point. Just fix it, because the show is dark, mean, and almost unwatchable. And I'm through.

Milania is THE TRUTH!
I'm back, kids! Sorry I haven't been blogging. I took full advantage of the few days I had off and did absolutely nothing. Well, except for fun stuff, of course. I hope everyone is staying cool in this heat, too. Today it's going to be 107 in my neck of the woods. Brutal!
Let's jump right back into the latest Real Housewives of New Jersey episode. There was a lot of laughter, which I loved. Everyone is making progress in their own way. And some more than others. I really wasn't too impressed with the episode overall, maybe because there was no over the top exciting moments. It was just an ok episode. But you need those from time to time.
Can I just say, I love me some Greg. I know some people don't like him. But he makes me laugh and that's that.
Caroline: I like that you and Lauren are in business together. Family businesses are kind of your specialty, so it makes sense. I agree with Lauren that the name Cafface is a little off-putting at first, but once you explained it, it did sound like a good idea. I want to see the shop now! Hopefully, your vision came to life and Lauren is happy with the results, although it seems like it takes a LOT to make her happy. I definitely want her to come on the reunion and show us her new slim figure and (fingers crossed) a new attitude? Lauren is a cool chick but damn, is she negative sometimes. I like Albie's girlfriend, and I think you were very nice to her, as was Lauren. Except that little cheerleader dig in your interview. What was that about? I can see where people would think you would be tough with your boys' girlfriends. You're known for being tough! I think Chris' online dating profile experiment was hilarious - but seriously, a guy with a sense of humor will never have trouble finding a date. At least, that's my opinion. I'm glad to see you having fun on the show, Caroline, so keep that up. And let me just beg you right now. Do NOT fight with Teresa in Napa. I forbid it (but hey, who ever listens to me?). Caroline's grade for the week: B (because she was positive for MOST of the episode).
Jacqueline: I really didn't think your encounter with Teresa was all that awkward. You were nice, she was nice. End of story. I know you're hurt by Teresa - the fact that she made you feel like you couldn't say certain things to her - but this is the reality: people do what they want to do. I think you finally realized that Teresa is not the kind of friend you made her out to be in your mind. No matter how much you begged Teresa to not fight with her family, if that's what she wanted to do, she was going to do it. You got way too invested in her, to be honest. So, you learned your lesson. Be nice and keep it moving. I know you feel like you have to call her out on her shit, but really, her shit is obvious. She is right 100% of the time, she doesn't need help, and she doesn't want you asking her any questions. Period. That's Teresa. We all see it. So, in Napa, keep it light and cool, and do NOT fight with her. Do you hear me??? Jacqueline's grade for the week: B (because she was polite and civil and didn't start anything with Teresa).
Teresa: I am so proud of you - and I'm not being sarcastic. You went to Antonia's birthday party, you were nice to Melissa, and you didn't even get feisty when she made that sprinkle cookie comment. Maybe you are making progress. Now, about your comments about Melissa singing acapella/solo - if you want to hear her sing, just ask her. It's not that uncommon for people to lipsynch or sing to a back up track when they perform nowadays. Especially when it's a dance record. Just ask Kim Zolciak. Melissa is no Mariah Carey. We all know that. We all get it. Message received. But kudos on the excellent throwing of shade. I did, however, have a problem with how Gia was talking about Melissa. Gia is still a child and she really shouldn't be criticizing an adult, much less her aunt. And she heard that lipsynching crap from you. So, all I'm going to say is, keep your shade to yourself and other adults. Not the kids. Shade is not for kids. I hate that you put down therapy, but really, you weren't truly open to the experience. So, I'm glad you're not going back, because it would have been a huge waste of time. You're the kind of person who likes to deal with things on your own, good or bad. I understand that now. No therapist in the world was going to be able to get through to you, because that's not what you want, and it's not what your brother wants, either. All you have to do is listen to Milania. Milania is THE TRUTH! The look on Joe Giudice's face when Milania spit hot truth all over that kitchen was priceless. In fact, your face was priceless, too. Milania knows what's up. And I know you're not going to listen to me, but I'm going to say it anyway. Be nice in Napa. Be cool in Napa. Don't start any shit in Napa. Ok? Teresa's grade for the week: C (because she doesn't know how to control her shade).
Melissa: I saw that shade you threw with the sprinkle cookie comment, so don't think it went unnoticed. You know you can't joke around like that with Teresa. She filed that one away for later, you know that, right? But seriously, just be nice. No jokes needed, ok? The birthday party for Antonia was awesome, and I'm glad everyone had a good time. And Greg's birthday was a kiki (look it up). I must say, though, it was a little obnoxious of you to not only ask them to play your song, but also to get up on the table ... that was a little much. I'm just saying. Unless Greg asked you to play your song. In that case, no harm, no foul. And Joe Gorga was being kind of annoying. I'm all for having a good time, but jeez louise, if I was at that party, he would have been exhausting. I enjoyed your scene with Chris Judd. No shade (but shade), you have a lot of work to do on your choreography. You can definitely dance, but Mr. Judd definitely needs to create something amazing for this Beatstock thing. On another note, I'm just going to ask you to be cool in Napa. Just be cool. Melissa's grade for the week: C (for being kind of annoying).
Kathy: I thought that family dinner scene was really nice. Until ... Richie and his ... not so appropriate comments. Um, first of all, not cool and second, why??? I know Richie's a ball buster, but come on. I know you probably cringed when he made some of those over the top statements. You, on the other hand, are lovely. I still like you a lot and I'll ask you the same favor as the rest of the ladies. Be cool in Napa. But, I'm sure you won't have any problems doing that. Oh, and I totally forgive you and Rosie for forgetting Brianne's name - I know people who are just bad with names, too. And it really is nothing personal. Kathy's grade for the week: A (because I still like her, so there).

Time To Go
Hello, kids! I'm going to jump right into the latest Real Housewives of New Jersey because, let's face it, it was a doozey of an episode. Lots of drama and lots to talk about. I must say that all of this fighting needs to get resolved or else I probably won't watch next season. The reunion should be the last that we hear about all of this foolishness. I suggest bringing on a couple of new cast members who aren't related to any of the current Housewives. Just some new blood to get things going in a different (and hopefully, more fun direction). Just my opinion! Anyway, this week, Teresa made progress with Kathy, Melissa, and her brother, and Jacqueline essentially went off the deep end. I think I've made sense of everything (in my mind), so hold on tight, it's gonna be a windy road through Jersey ...
Kathy: I think you were very sweet to Teresa during your ladies lunch. It was nice of you to keep things on a positive note with her. I understand why you were cautious in your interviews regarding Teresa's motives, because, let's face it - it is kind of convenient that now that she and Jacqueline are not on good terms, Teresa is all of a sudden willing to go above and beyond with you. I say, keep your eyes open but also, embrace Teresa. She does need a friend, and it should be you. I think she can learn a lot from you. I don't have a problem with you being friends with Caroline and Jacqueline while mending things with Teresa. As long as none of them try to influence you against the other, there shouldn't be a problem. You can be a good friend to all of them. Kathy's grade for the week: A (because she's still being a positive influence on Teresa, and I appreciate that).
Melissa: Congrats on the success of "On Display"! And I do love that you and Joe Gorga will take any excuse to have a party. My kind of peeps! I have to commend you for coming clean about talking to Danielle. I'm not saying you had a good reason or anything, but you told the truth and you took responsibility for your mistake. I think you knew all along that it was going to come out eventually, anyway. But I give you credit for being honest with Teresa when she asked you about it. Now, I think you need to quit making comments like "Teresa never tweets me", because stuff like that is just unnecessary. We know who you're dealing with. Teresa is selfish and doesn't really reach out to other people unless it's convenient for her. Got it. Now, let's agree to not talk about it anymore. If you're going to make things better, don't sweat the small stuff. Or in this case, the stuff that always happens and will never ever change because it's pointless to keep bringing it up. Melissa's grade for the week: B (because she told the truth and took responsibility for her actions).
Caroline: I don't know how I feel about you right now. On one hand, your reasoning about not wanting to be around Teresa makes perfect sense. I can even see why you would tell Melissa and Kathy - so they know not to put you and Teresa together any time soon or to avoid any misconceptions about why you're not friends with Teresa anymore. I get that. But there's something about your demeanor that just isn't right. I'm wondering if it's the "change" like I thought before, or maybe just a deep-rooted anger and animosity towards Teresa, but this show isn't good for you. I think this should be your last season. Really, there's nothing really keeping you on the show now. It feels like you're done. We can sense it. So, it's not fun to watch you on the show anymore. Please don't take it the wrong way, but man ... if you're over it, we're over it. Caroline's grade for the week: D (because I don't want to watch someone who's so obviously over being on this show).
Teresa: I will give you credit for: 1) agreeing to go to therapy, 2) having a civil conversation with Melissa about her talking to Danielle, and 3) having a great lunch with Kathy. Now, if you can keep going in this direction, I feel like only good things will happen. I honestly don't care what your motives are. Therapy is going to help you communicate better, be more self-aware, and help you to see things as they truly are. The truth is, you kind of live in a fantasy world (TeresaLand), where everyone and everything is about you. But, that's not the real world. I think you have a long way to go when it comes to interpersonal relationships. I think you need to start empathizing with other people and practice seeing things from other people's perspectives. And I'm saying this to you coming from a good place. I did not like your conversation with Jacqueline at all because both of you had your walls up. Both of you were defensive and it was a waste of time. Granted, you left her alone and she sought you out. She found you and started the conversation. I really want you to be able to see where she was coming from - the anger and the hurt she was feeling over you - because maybe your heart will soften a little. Not now, but a few years down the road, I think you'll look back on this and wish you did things differently. I just want to address your husband for a second: Joe Giudice, I'm sure you're a real nice guy and all, but you're a real dick and you don't have the first clue about how resolve conflict. Oh, and Teresa, you definitely do not write your blog. This week you used the term "Nair and Napalm". If you don't know how to say the word "ingredients", you definitely can't come up with analogies like that. WHO IS YOUR GHOST WRITER??? Whoever it is, you should fire them because it's been really negative lately, and it's not helping you. Teresa's grade for the week: C (because she took positive steps with her family, but the conversation with Jacqueline was a bust, and her blogs have been horrible lately).
Jacqueline: You say you're impulsive and that's why you went to talk to Teresa. Honestly, I think you're a glutton for punishment in a way. You wanted to make Teresa understand your side of things once and for all, and big surprise, it didn't work. You know who you're dealing with here. Teresa isn't going to budge. Maybe it was the drinks that made you think you were going to get through to her, but it ended up making things worse. I believe you did have a major meltdown about the conversation with Teresa at your house, which we saw last week. I don't think you should have gone to Melissa's party at all. You needed space and peace and calm so you could see things clearly. Then, after some time had passed, then you could have possibly had another conversation with Teresa. But unfortunately, you went and the conversation was horrible. It was like you had so much to prove in that moment. You were going to change Teresa right then and there! Wrong! Teresa is not your problem. She never was. I think you're like me, in the sense that you feel a responsibility to care for and about your friends. Even when they don't want you to. Teresa wanted youto only care about the things that she told you. She wasn't banking on the fact that you'd take into consideration ALL of the other things - magazines, gossip, etc - that were floating around. I don't think you're crazy, but you definitely went overboard at the party. Your blog pretty much sums up your reasoning for everything, and I get where you're coming from. It may be time to say goodbye to this show, especially if it's going to affect you like this. Jacqueline's grade for the week: D (for seeking Teresa out at the party when she wasn't in the right frame of mind aka having a breakdown).

Maybe Everybody Should Shut Up
I'm back for another Real Housewives of New Jersey smackdown, and let me tell you, Mama is excited. I want to make it clear that these are my opinions, I don't have any friendships or anything with any of the housewives, and I'm not trying to be friends with them. I'm calling it like I see it. If you don't agree, let me know (in a respectful manner) @humorandspice, and we'll discuss it like adults. This is all entertainment, folks, no need to get nasty about it. If you see things differently, I'd love to know why. Who knows? You may get me to switch teams! Seriously, though, the only team I'm on is Team Wakile/Team Kathy, and I've been very open about that. I can see the good and the bad in everyone on this show. Especially this week. So let's jump right in.
First, I have to address Lauren, so bear with me.
Lauren: It's obvious you have major self-esteem issues. I would go so far as to say that you hate yourself. Not just physically, I might add. I hate that you put so much importance on the way you look. I totally understand where you're coming from, but in the words of Latrice Royale: GOOD GOD, GET A GRIP, GURL! You are not the first (and definitely not the last) to struggle with weight. Hello, we live in the United States. Every other person in this country struggles with their weight and/or appearance. Secondly, you make some kind of farkakte connection between being skinny and being rich. Where did you get this from? How in the world did you connect those two? I'm sorry, but as far as I know, and I read a lot of biographies about successful people, being rich comes from a lot of hard work and a little luck. So, skinny has little to nothing to do with it. It's about believing in yourself - and loving yourself - enough to go after your dreams. You don't love yourself and you're making it all about the physical aspect of your life when you should focus on your work, your relationship, and your own happiness. And believe me, happiness DOES NOT come from being skinny. I was down to a size zero at one point - my lowest point - and it didn't make me happier in the slightest. I'm much happier now, and size zero is just a faint memory. So, get your MIND right, Lauren. I hope you're in a better place now. I know it sucks when your family (Dad and brothers mostly in this episode) make jokes about your weight, but everyone has their struggle. Just last season, Albie was still struggling with school. So, don't sweat it. And I'll speak on Caroline in a little while, but seriously, I think you need to move out of your parents' house immediately. Move to the city with a couple of girlfriends and GET YOUR LIFE. Lauren's grade for the week: D (because she needs a major attitude adjustment).
Now that we've gotten that out of the way, let's address the ladies.
Jacqueline: I hope we saw your turning point this week when you broke down by Teresa's car at the Solstice Party - by the way, can we just call it the bullsh*t party, because there was nothing spiritual about that party? Ok, thank you. Your frustration has been palpable since last season, and it's because (and forgive me, because I love you), you put yourself in the middle. You do. All you have to do is take a stand with Teresa (or Danielle or whoever) and stick to your guns. I can see and feel you trying to skirt around Teresa and not make her mad, but all that does is rev her up more. At the Solstice Party, you finally broke your silence and said that Melissa spoke with you about Teresa's gold digger comments. But, more importantly, you broke down and expressed how you were feeling about your relationship with Teresa as a whole - you have to not say things because she freaks out and you're expected to take her side 100% of the time no matter what. And unfortunately, she's not right all the time. So you're basically stuck. When you finally told her what you were feeling, I could practically see the weight coming off of your shoulders. Now, we know a lot more drama is in store, and we're going to see this whole thing unravel, but as of right now, I'm glad you opened up and at least started to speak your mind in this episode to Teresa's face. I did not appreciate the whole go-between role that you were playing at the party, though. This isn't high school. Do not let Teresa or anyone else make you be the messenger. Jacqueline's grade for the week: C (because she's still in the middle but she's slowly coming into her own this season).
Melissa: I know people are going to say that I'm on Team Melissa for this one, but you did the damn thing on this episode. I don't care what anyone says, you stood your ground, you didn't back down, and you actually made sense in the argument with Teresa. You told her without any hesitations or reservations to leave you and your marriage alone. I respect that. As a woman, I respect that you would ask her to not speak about you or your marriage in a negative way, because that's not her place. Even if she did hear someone say you were a gold digger, wouldn't she have told your husband a long time ago? And if he didn't listen, and married you anyway, what is the point of saying it now? You two are clearly not getting a divorce any time soon, and if you were, it would be for your own reasons, not because of gossip. The minute I see you flirt or look at another man on this show with lust in your eyes, I will let you know. It hasn't happened yet. The minute the tabloids have pictures of you with another man, I'll believe the gossip. It hasn't happened yet. So, you're correct in asking Teresa to take a seat. I don't know if I agree with the whole "coward" comment, only because that just made things worse. I think you were winning the argument up until that point. Then, it just got ugly and mean. But you made good points, you articulated yourself well, and you were clear about what your problems were with her. As for the whole gifts portion of the argument, now you know not to take gifts to the Giudice kids, because Joe Giudice throws them away. Isn't that nice? You were right to tell Teresa to talk to her brother directly, also. In my book, you could have handled a few things differently, but all in all, you did the best you could in the situation. I think this argument set you and Teresa back quite a bit, though. Melissa's grade for the week: C (because I could actually follow most of her logic in the argument, but it got out of control, and she could have handled it differently).
Caroline: A lot of people are hating on you because of the whole Lauren thing. On this episode, you said in an interview/confessional that she needs to lose weight. I don't see this as a huge revelation because Lauren says it as well. I think you should be focusing on what's happening on the inside instead of the outside, though. Take her to therapy to get to the bottom of her self-esteem issues, and please, help her move out of your house. She needs to be on her own, or at least get a place with some roommates. She's not going to get better with everyone in the house slamming her for the way she looks. Now, on to the Solstice Party. You went into that party with a stank attitude, and you left with a stank attitude. Good thing you can blame it on the menopause. But seriously, menopause is probably the main culprit. That, and when you get to a certain age, you just don't give a sh*t anymore. Ask my mom. But I digress. I think you're being a little bit too vocal about Teresa, even though what you're saying isn't exactly incorrect. She does have a lot of the qualities that you say she has. However, I don't know if "bully" is the right word for how Teresa is behaving. I think "brat" is a far more accurate term. Anyway, you just keep yourself together and hang back so that Jacqueline and Teresa can hash out their issues without people trying to say you're influencing her. Caroline's grade for the week: D (because she is cranky and it's making her come off in a not so good way).
Kathy: We can always go to you for a calm, mature, and reasonable take on the craziness that's going on around you. How you're able to let things slide is truly admirable. Yes, I think you're great. I do find it interesting that you clarified why Teresa is so hung up on not mentioning the word "jail", though. It makes sense that it has to do with pride and that it's a "Jersey thing". Again, you were very smart to not get involved in the fight at the Solstice Party. You know you're the last person Teresa wants to argue with. Kathy's grade for the week: A (and if you don't agree, tell me why, because I can't think of one thing that Kathy wasn't mature about on this episode).
Teresa: It appears that your fuse is still minuscule, and that is a shame. The fact that you blew up over Melissa confirming what you were talking about and using the word "jail" is just sad. There is no hiding what happened. Your husband went to jail. You're so caught up in painting this pretty picture of the perfect life this season, that you forget that people can read the papers and Google. People know what's happening. Also, I notice you're speaking a lot more Italian this season, and I like it. Just saying. Anyway, you were completely off the rails in the argument with Melissa. First of all, you made nothing but excuses for your behavior and for talking badly about her to your brother. All you had to say was, "Yes, I said it, and I realize it was out of line, and I'm sorry." But no. You can't apologize because then you'd have to admit that you were wrong, which you're not going to do. It's exhausting, Teresa. Talking about anyone's wife like that - without proof - is just wrong. Plain and simple. It doesn't matter what other people tell you, or the fact that you told your brother in confidence (that's the word you were looking for). You, of all people, should know, husbands and wives share things. And you said something hurtful to your brother and he shared it with his wife. But, you have to take responsibility for saying it in the first place! You were so ridiculous in the fight with Melissa, even resorting to mocking her voice. Do us all a favor, and grow up. When you're able to have an adult conversation and be just a little bit logical, you'll get a much better reaction from people. And the thing with the magazines has to end. I'm sorry, but that reeks of sleaziness. You're selling your "stories" to gossip magazines on a regular basis - no wonder people aren't falling all over themselves to hear you out. Maybe, just maybe, if you actually listen to the people that you've hurt, and realize that your actions have consequences, maybe then you'll have better relationships with people. Because this attitude that you and your husband have is toxic. Like, Chernobyl status. It was good to see you asking for Rosie's advice, but it was sad to see you immediately dismiss it. She's right about everything! Teresa's grade for the week: F (for not even attempting to listen to Melissa, Jacqueline, Rosie, and everyone else).
Special shout out to my girl, Rosie: You held it down this week. Between the kids and Teresa, you were like Jersey Supernanny. You are honestly giving me life every time you're on this show. Please, continue to tell it like it is!
Title of blog comes from Rosie (to Teresa) on this week's episode.
Let me know what you think! Just be mature about it! Tweet me!

Let's Be Real
It was a rip-roaring, hell of a time on the Real Housewives of New Jersey on Sunday night. Clearly, we all have our favorites and our biases, but I'm going to be as impartial as possible here. In all sincerity, I'm enjoying this season so far. There's drama between the ladies, but more importantly, there are big family issues happening as well. I think the family aspect is really going to save this season from becoming ugly. Not to say that there's not going to be ugliness between the women on the show, we've seen the previews for next week. But, if there's going to be a saving grace anywhere, it's gonna be that the families are each endearing and important to the audience.
Now, let's talk about the episode and break it all down.
Jacqueline: You said on the After Show on Watch What Happens Live this week and in your blog that the scene where Ashley leaves was heavily edited. They didn't show the loving goodbye that actually happened between you and Ashley. I did think it was odd that everyone was sort of distant, and I figured you had spoken to your daughter before she flew cross-country. So, thanks for clarifying that for us. I think we can all see that you were at the end of your rope, and this opportunity was your last hope for her. We're all rooting for you and your family to overcome this whole Ashley situation, and deep down, we're rooting for Ashley, too. Even though, sometimes, she makes it near impossible to like her. In Sunday's episode, she was definitely not handling things like she should have. Missing the flight to find snacks is no bueno. The scene with you looking at Ashley's baby photos was heart-breaking. It could not have been an easy decision to send her away, but like I said, you were out of options. You knew she was self-destructing and not doing anything to secure a job or any kind of tangible goal for herself. Your tears were justified, you were mourning losing your little girl. She's an adult who has to make her own choices now. I seriously doubt Ashley will look back at you with anything but love and admiration for doing the best you could to raise her the right way. As for having the get-together, I think it was nice that you included everyone. I'm looking forward to seeing how everything goes down with Teresa in the coming episodes, although it'll no doubt open up some ugly wounds for everyone involved. The fact that you two spoke recently and are taking "baby steps" to mend the friendship is comforting, but I'm not sure Teresa has really changed. Jacqueline's grade for the week: B (because I think at this point in the season, she was just doing her best to keep her sanity).
Melissa: First of all, I'm friggin' jealous that you have a friggin' recording studio in your friggin' house. That is so cool. And second, that was a very nice song you recorded for your hubby. I think you two are in love and have a happy marriage and family life. Anyone who sees something different, please enlighten me. I think you and Joe truly love each other and it doesn't seem to be about how much money he has. Sounds like you two went through a hard time financially, and got through it. So, mazel to you. Now, I have to give you props for your "take one for the team" comment. Bingo! Yes! That's exactly what it was. Teresa's "jokes" at everyone else's expense served one and only one purpose - to sell books. Boom. Done and done. You are definitely on my good side this season. Keep calling it like you see it, girl. Melissa's grade for the week: A (for telling it like it T-I-is).
Caroline: I saw you getting some static for taking Lauren to the weight loss specialist. I wish someone would have taken me to one ... anyway, let's not get into that. 30, here I come, and I'm gonna be in shape when I see you! But I digress. Here's the thing, if you hadn't taken Lauren to get help with her weight loss, people would hate on you, too. So, you can't win. Some people just can't take you. I can. I think you were as gentle about the topic as necessary, but you were honest about it. I don't think we need to hear about how small you are anymore, but that's just me. You were smart to stay quiet while Teresa gave her apology/announcement, you've already said you're letting it go, and that you're keeping your distance. Fair enough. Caroline's grade for the week: B (because I can see why people are irritated with her, but give her a break already).
Kathy: You know I want you to adopt me, right? Who cares that I'm not a minor? Just kidding. But in all seriousness, you are an amazing mom. I love that you talk to your kids in a no-nonsense manner. Yes, Joey got an inappropriate email. But you nipped it in the bud and he knows that you're watching out for him. There are some crazy perverts out there. I just love how you're able to stand tall and know that regardless of the drama, you aren't contributing to it. You're not arguing, you're not fighting. You're letting things take their course. I do think Richie should quit rough-housing with Joe Giudice, though. That's for sure. Kathy's grade for the week: A (because she is my favorite. There. I said it).
Teresa: I read your blog, and please forgive me, but I cannot believe you wrote it. That is not you talking. And the fact that you used a gossip magazine to apologize to your cast mates just smacks of insincerity to me. Call them on the phone! Or better yet, don't apologize if you don't really think you did anything wrong. Because that's what it comes across as - on this episode, especially, and last week with Caroline - you know you have to apologize, but you really don't want to. It would almost be better if you said, "It was funny to me when I wrote it, and I used you all to sell books, and I don't care if you were offended by it." At least, then, we could say, "Hey, at least she owned it." I do admire you for stepping up and writing these books to support your family. I think you're determined and focused when it comes to taking care of your girls, and that, I applaud one hundred percent. It's the attitude you display with the rest of the cast that I have a problem with. If you would quit being defensive and just bring that wall down, I think you would get an entirely different response from people. I've said it before and I'll say it again, your problem is Joe Giudice. I think your whole struggle stems from that man. I'm glad he's stepped up with the kids, but let's be real. He is not exactly helping you get along with other people. It's like he wants you to fight with everyone because in reality, HE wants to fight with everyone. Something is definitely not right there. Teresa's grade for the week: C (because I liked that she apologized, but I don't think she was sincere about it).

Disrespectful
The Real Housewives of Atlanta on Sunday night was full of family drama and outbursts. Making it one hell of an episode! Everyone is dealing with some kind of turmoil, and some issues are more easily resolved than others. At the risk of sounding corny, I hope all the ladies are able to overcome the obstacles (self-imposed or not) and rise up to a better place by the time the season ends.
So let's get started!
Kim: The whining about Sweetie is just as annoying as Sweetie is lazy. Your hair stylist is right - let her go. Also, if you wear wigs, do you really need a hair stylist? Just asking. You really need to draw the line between business and home. It would be a lot easier to keep an employee in line if you actually had work to do. We should see you designing wigs or baby clothes or something instead of just hanging out at your house in every episode. We get it, you have a baby, and there's editing involved. But some of the other ladies have showcased their businesses on the show, so why don't you do the same? Kim's grade for the week: D.
Cynthia: I totally agree with you - your sister is out of line, but so is Peter. It's one thing to dislike your in-laws, but it's another to constantly be at war with them. Both Mal and Peter are wrong for what they do to each other. The limo fiasco was a sign: don't have big parties anymore. Not only for financial reasons, but for your sanity. It's just not worth it! I am upset you had to chip in for the party, but not surprised. However, it was none of Mal's business. She needs to back off. You're a grown woman and you're married and it's your life. She may not like it, but that doesn't give her the right to tell you AT YOUR PARTY that she didn't think you and Peter would make it to a year of marriage. That's a slap in the face. If she didn't believe in your marriage, SHE SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN THERE. Your mom said the same, and it upset me as well. I think Mal is probably behind your mom's opinion of Peter, to be honest. Either way, they shouldn't have shown up if they weren't going to celebrate your anniversary with you. Peter was wrong to single Mal out. I'm sorry you're still dealing with this foolishness. I think it's time for you and Peter to talk about respect - just because you CAN do something (call Mal out), doesn't mean you SHOULD. I commend you for sticking by your husband, since he is your family now, and your sister is just going to have to grow up and deal with it. Cynthia's grade for the week: B.
Nene: I liked that you and Gregg took on the Bryson problem together as co-parents, even though Gregg is not his biological father. I hope Bryson is doing better now. I enjoyed you at the anniversary party. You seemed to be having a fabulous time and OWNED it! LOL! Nene's grade for the week: A.
Phaedra: I'm glad you're so interested in learning the embalming part of being a funeral home director/owner, hell, you're the one that's going to have to touch the dead bodies. I applaud you for taking the class and being so eager to learn. I know I couldn't do it. Phaedra's grade for the week: A.
Marlo: All I can say is, you lied to Lawrence about saying the "F" word. That's all there is to say. Marlo's grade for the week: F.
Sheree: You're not off the hook, honey. You are one busy lady, telling everyone what everyone else said on the South Africa trip. I'm just wondering when you're going to start telling on yourself for a change? Shady! You are not perfect, so this whole tattle-tale business you're running is getting really old. I understand telling Lawrence that Marlo said the "F" word ONLY because he's friends with her and he should be able to go and talk to her about it WITHOUT YOU. You're not the peace maker, you're the sh*t stirrer. But sooner or later, the sh*t is going to come right back around to you. Sheree's grade for the week: D.
Kandi: We hardly saw you this week! But next week, we'll see you defend yourself yet again against Kim. She just can't let go of your alleged comment, which we've already established wasn't what Sheree said it was. Kandi's grade for the week: N/A
