Queen Bee

Just some random thoughts about Survivor this week. The show is taking a really interesting turn, and I love it. I'm telling you, Kim is the Queen Bee now! Go, Kim!

Tarzan needs to be voted off next, without question. No more poopy shorts in the laundry pot.

Leif is super likable, but unfortunately, the girls will get rid of him soon. I'm interested to know who he'll side with in the final vote.

I wasn't at all surprised when Mike was taken out. I'm shocked it didn't happen sooner, really.

Troyzan really needs to campaign that the girls keep him instead of Kat and Alicia, who are both completely useless.

I really want Christina to stick around, just because it would be awesome if she made it to the end.

What would you like to see happen on Survivor?

Yawn

Is it just me, or is this season of the Real Housewives of Orange County getting kind of boring? I don't know if I just don't care as much anymore, or if they're just not bringing it, but it's not looking good right now. So, this blog will be a short one.

Alexis: Maybe you just have a low tolerance for pain, but you kind of overdid it when the Dr. took your nose cast off. I'm not hating, I'm just saying, you were kind of being a baby about it. And again, with the complaining about Gretchen not being a good enough friend. Enough already! She came to see you, she has her own life, and it's not all about you all the time. Alexis' grade for the week: D.

Gretchen: Some people are saying you faked the ankle injury, but I don't think so. I think it was just an unfortunate coincidence. You had a good time with everyone on the Mud Run until then, though. I honestly can't even remember what you and Slade were talking about in the car on the way to the Mud Run, and that's not a good sign. Sorry. Gretchen's grade for the week: C.

Vicki: I'm so glad Briana is cancer-free. That's great. I'm not so keen on Brooks. Creepy and pushy and kind of annoying. You two are made for each other. Mazel. Vicki's grade for the week: C.

Tamra: I can definitely understand why it's difficult to finalize a divorce, it means it's really over. I've heard a lot of women say it's like a failure, especially when kids are involved. But you're happily engaged now, so I think you'll be ok. And I completely cosign on the breast implant reduction. On Watch What Happens Live a while back, you looked great. Tamra's grade for the week: B.

Heather: You entertained me the most on this episode. The shopping trip was fun, the workout with Tamra was fun, and you kicking ass on the Mud Run was fun. So, you're essentially the winner this week. Nice! Heather's grade for the week: A.

Natural Woman

I love the mini-Drag U challenge on Drag Race, only because it's fun to see the gurls teach the art of drag to straight guys who have no idea what they're in for. It was a fun episode, but a lot more tense and emotional than I had expected. We have to talk about the queen who came back for a moment (literally), Kenya Michaels. I was delighted to see her, since she was my favorite from the beginning, but she just didn't deliver. And can I just say how much I loved Jesse Tyler Ferguson as a guest judge? The funniest ginger since Kathy Griffin. Jennifer Love Hewitt was a great guest judge as well, I always love when the guest judges get teary eyed during the lipsynch. Michelle was working a very regal look, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Now, let's dish about the queens.

Chad: Thank you for standing up to that loud-mouth partner of Chad's this week. He needed to be put in his place. He said he was kidding, but damn, he really needed to tone it down. You held your own, and he backed off. So, you win, sweetie. Your pregnancy realness look was not all that, but you did what you could under the circumstances. I'm telling you, mama, TOP THREE! Chad's grade for the week: B.

Kenya: Mami, que fue? What happened? This was not the challenge for you to come back with. Unfortunately, you chose the cute guy instead of realizing he had zero personality. I'm sorry you had to go just as quickly as you came back, but when it's an Aretha lipsynch and Latrice is involved, it's no contest, honey. I love your lipsynch performances, but this one wasn't for you. I loved seeing you again, though. Kenya's grade for the week: D.

Latrice: Your drag daddy was a good sport and I like your look for him. I guess the judges just didn't see the family resemblance. That's fine, though, because you knocked the lipsynch outta the park once again. Your Aretha was REAL the house DOWN. No more bottom two for you!! You've proven yourself and now it's time to break into the TOP THREE! Win the next challenge and secure that spot! Latrice's grade for the week: B.

Phi Phi: Your plan to get Kenya to give you the drag daddy you wanted worked out in more ways than one. He looked just like you in drag and he was really sweet with you. So, smart move there. And you won! Enjoy it, and make sure you have a plan for next week, because the competition is going to heat up. I loved your strip tease routine and your pregnancy look for you and your dude were cute. Just one question, did you set up Kenya to fail by telling her how to assign the daddies? Just asking. Phi Phi's grade for the week: B.

Sharon: Your drag daddy was a drag. Your reactions to him? Priceless. You win for best lines of the episode. You were cracking me up, doll. Anywhoo, you did the best you could but it wasn't enough to clinch the win this week. Please, pull out all the stops next week, and get into that TOP THREE!! We need you in the finals!! Sharon's grade for the week: A (for the laughs).

Entertainment Value

Before I get into this week's Basketball Wives, I want to clear up a couple of things. I've been accused of taking it easy on Evelyn and Tami and I've been asked if I'm scared of them. First of all, I'm not scared because  let's face it, I'm one of the least offensive bloggers out there. I always give reasons for what I write and I stand by my opinions, good or bad. If someone brings something to my attention (and it's happened in the past), I'll consider it and update my blog if needed. As far as taking it easy on anyone, I'll admit that if I like someone or if they make me laugh, I might not be as harsh with them as I would with someone else whose personality I don't like. But usually, I'll say I give so-and-so a pass and include the reason why they get a pass with me.

More importantly, I have two different factors to consider. One, the entertainment value of each cast member, which is why we watch, isn't it? The other is, the real life factor, in other words, would this cast member's behavior fly with me in real life? How would I feel if someone were around me in real life behaving this way? I try to be as balanced as possible between entertainment value and the real life factor, but sometimes, one outweighs the other. But I would never alter my opinion just to get the acceptance of a reality star that I've never met and more than likely never will meet. It's great to get feedback from people on these shows, but I write the blog for me and for people like me who love these shows. And to be honest, the only person I've heard from on Basketball Wives is Kesha, just for the record.

Also, just for the record, check out my blog posts from last season. I was brutal with Evelyn, among others, so there's definitely no ass-kissing going on here. If she's not pissing me off this season, or maybe I just find her more likable this season, that's just what it is. I hope I've clarified my position, and please, let me know if you agree or disagree. I love feedback, especially passionate feedback. It makes me think about other points of view and it's always awesome conversation. So, comment below or tweet me!

Evelyn: I might as well start with you because you were the trouble-maker on this episode. Or at least the loudest one, because Kenya was definitely a trouble-maker as well. I have to pull out the entertainment value card here. You made me laugh with all your gestures and catchphrases and just plain madness. Here's why. You're of Puerto Rican descent. So am I. I know those gestures. I know that swagger. I grew up with that re-hot-fire-breathing rage that a Puerto Rican woman has inside her. Now, I know every culture has their version of it. But there's something distinct about a Puerto Rican and I can see it a mile away. And the truth is: it's funny. I'm sorry. When it's not directed at me, it's funny as hell. There. I said it. Of course it was all inappropriate and silly and wrong. Of course it was. But the entertainment value of it was through the roof. Now, the real life factor? Terrible. But you already know that. There was no reason to be so mad at the girl except the smug smirk on her face which was really annoying. Other than that, you should have told her to f*** off and called her crazy and kept it moving. You know people talk about you. So, why get so upset about it? She's, in your words, a non-mutha-f***ing factor. Evelyn's grade for the week: F (for fighting, even though it was funny).

Tami: You're up, my dear, and I still love you. I like when you sit back and observe what's going on like you did at the Gansevoort (poolside). I love that you made up with Suzie, and that you were hanging out with Royce on the episode. I think it's admirable that you're still helping Kenya after that disastrous meeting she had with your colleagues. You were great on this episode, really. And I'm not just saying that so you don't get mad at me. I read your blog, and you made some good points, but I wish you would make up with Royce. I don't think she meant any harm talking about the show and her perceptions of the show in her blog a few weeks back. I'd hate to see you two not be friends anymore. Tami's grade for the week: B.

Shaunie: I loved the segment about your daughter's birthday and her meeting her favorite band, Mindless Behavior. That was awesome. I hope we get to see more moments like this as the season progresses. I know you have to remain neutral and let the drama play out, but you got involved last time Evelyn acted out with Jennifer. I think you should have sat closer to her at the dinner in this week's episode and maybe it wouldn't have gotten so out of hand. You seem to be able to calm Evelyn down better than anyone. Shaunie's grade for the week: A.

Royce: The scene about your fitness DVD was awesome. I can't wait to see it! You have a great idea, and I hope it comes to fruition soon. I think you did a great job on this episode, especially going with Tami to meet Suzie and agreeing to go with Tami to the church with Kenya. I still think you're a good friend. I hope you and Tami can work out your differences. I loved your blog this week (just like every week), and I respect your opinion. We don't always agree on everything, but I think you have a great philosophy about the show and your role on it. Royce's grade for the week: A.

Suzie: I usually get on you for talking too much to too many people, but essentially that's your position on the show. I think it was cool of you to walk Kesha out when she left the Gansevoort, and of course you had to come back to hear what Kenya was going to say after she left. You fill everyone in on everything that happens, so I guess you do a good job in your assigned role. I thought your apology to Tami was sincere and she's right, you do need to think before you speak. Suzie's grade for the week: C.

Jennifer: You stuck up for Kenya because she's always normal and nice with you, and I thought it was cool of you to say so. Unfortunately, you haven't been in many group settings with the rest of the girls, so you're not privy to some of the craziness that's been going on. I also applaud you for not commenting on what Kenya said about Evelyn, because you could have jumped on the bandwagon and said something bad about her, but you didn't. I think that was a classy move. Jennifer's grade for the week: A.

Kenya: I can understand the difference between saying you "heard" something and actually saying it as your own personal opinion. However, I think you shot yourself in the foot and put the target on your own back by beating around the bush so much. At the Gansevoort, all you had to say was, "Yes, I commented on what I had heard about you at the time. I apologize, because it was wrong of me to talk about you when I didn't even know you." Done. That's all you had to say. Instead, you had to back-pedal, front-pedal, and side-pedal, all to end up at "I don't remember." You're a fool to pull that nonsense, and you know it. And you were giving serious smirk to Evelyn and I don't know whether it was out of fear or just oblivious cockiness, but that look on your face only made matters worse. Also, if you're willing to take off your shoes and act like you're going to fight someone, you better be ready to throw down when someone does the same to you. Not run away. Just saying. Kenya's grade for the week: F.

Kesha: I understand why you brought Sakara to the dinner as backup because you needed someone to corroborate your story. It did look a little bit like a set-up, but really, Kenya should have told the truth to begin with. I know you don't like confrontations, so I wonder what was going through your mind when Evelyn snapped? I'm just curious. Anyway, hopefully this whole chapter is done, although I doubt it. And can I just say, I love your house. You have a really beautiful home and the decor is so cool. I love it. Kesha's grade for the week: B.

Take That, Haters

This week's Bethenny Ever After was full of really important lessons. Like, don't pick the wrong toilet seat. Just kidding, there were some real gems, for real. And who knew bloggers were such a pain in the ass. Oh, wait ... Anyway, let's get into the episode, shall we?

The first lesson: success equals haters, but money equals even more haters. And it's not just fame we're talking about. Bethenny learns that when people know you have money, like serious Forbes-cover money, they can't wait to crush you. However, that's when your true fans and supporters come out in your defense. It's a tug of war and it has to be both frustrating and exhausting. This makes me wonder if I really want the success I think I want. Could I deal with all the hate being thrown at me? Could you?

Dwayne the Driver (aka @DtheDriver) gives our girl Bethenny some sound advice while driving to the toilet store. With each "Ma" that he throws out, he's letting her know that the only reason people are hating on her is because she's doing something special. Amen.

Next lesson: Always give your blogs a sweet ending, a la food blogger, Nick. Nick is looking very trim and slim these days! I love that Bethenny's reference to her book went right over his head. Nick is an amazing writer, and per his Twitter, he's studying improv. I love it. Check out his blog here.

Lesson number three: Cuss during therapy. Bethenny lets some "F" bombs loose in Dr. Amador's office regarding a certain "tow f***" who decided to tell the media the whole boat fiasco was a fake. Like I said last week, if that was a fake, they all deserve Emmys. That sh*t looked real to me. Anyway, Bethenny gets into why she has to keep her plate not just full, but overflowing, and she admits it's because she struggled before. She went through the anxiety of not having anything, so now that she has all this success, she wants to keep doing more and more and more before it goes away. Wouldn't you want to do as much as you could with that much success, too?

Fourth lesson: Bloggers are wrong sometimes. I want to say it was Perez Hilton who had to recant some of his posts about the Forbes cover and how much Skinnygirl actually sold for. But, let's be honest, there were a lot of bloggers running the same story around that time. I'm just glad Bethenny was able to clear her name and maintain her credibility, both of which are super important to her and her fans. And the dinner scene with Bethenny and Jason basking in the glow of being vindicated was so cute. Jason with his scruffy beard telling Bethenny to lose the jacket was priceless.

Lesson number five: Demolition is fun and a stress reliever!

Final lesson of the episode: Doing baby talk in front of anyone outside your circle is not a good look. Ellen straight clowned on Bethenny (in a hilarious and all-in-good-fun way) for trying to make her adorable daughter say "All the boats". Bethenny and Ellen are so much fun together, I can see why they wanted to do business together as well. And I can't wait for Bethenny's talk show.

Next week, Julie makes a "life decision". She still works for Bethenny, so what could it be?

Three Hours!!!

I'm enjoying Celebrity Apprentice as much as the next reality tv obsessed person, but damn, this week's episode almost broke me! Three hours??? What the hell is Trump thinking? The two hour episodes are bonkers enough. No more three hour episodes, Donald. I mean it.

Not that it wasn't entertaining. The first half was another astonishing failure from the women's team, who don't need hardly any excuse to turn on each other. I loved their guide book and thought it was the better product, as did Regis Philbin, but the boys made more money. Plain and simple. And The Blue Man Group is a bunch of douches for not handing over the cash like normal people. Blowing money in the air in New York City, when it's supposed to be for charity, is a douche move. With that said, Debbie Gibson got her walking papers, courtesy of an enraged Teresa Giudice, for no apparent reason, by the way. But whatever, Lisa Lampanelli's still in it, and that's all I care about.

The second half was way more interesting. Seeing that the women's team is doomed, Trump switched up the teams. Aubrey and Teresa went to Unanimous, with Paul, Clay, and Arsenio, and Penn, Lou Ferrigno, and Dee Snider went to Forte, with Lisa and Dayana. This brought about some fascinating group dynamics.

Lisa ends up being the driving force behind the challenge, again, with some strong support from Penn. But Penn has to leave mid-challenge for a performance that couldn't be rescheduled. Dee seems to be on the ball, but his idea for the "box" a kit designed for the Walk with Walgreens campaign falls flat. The presentation, given mostly by Lou, who's the project manager, goes over really well. Penn, just back from his performance and on just a couple hours' sleep, blurts out WalMart instead of Walgreens. Big mistake. Dayana saves it with some comedy (in her crown and bathing suit), but it's not enough to save the team. Dee is sent packing at the end of the show.

The most explosive moments had nothing to do with who was being fired, surprisingly. It was all about Arsenio vs. Aubrey. Now, Arsenio's been talking smack about Aubrey since day one (or at least that's what it looks like to us, the viewers). So, he has some resentment towards her and of course, doesn't want her on his team. She didn't do herself any favors by being overbearing, whiny, and just plain annoying throughout the challenge. She insisted on doing things her way, even after Arsenio objected. They won the challenge, but Arsenio had enough of her "selfishness" and went off on her in the boardroom. He made some good points, like how she takes credit for things that aren't necessarily all her doing. She cried and pouted and tried to fight back, but ended up looking like a bigger brat than ever. When they won, she went to the elevator instead of back to the war room.

Here's the deal, Aubrey. You helped create a certain environment in this game, along with Lisa and whoever else was agreeing with you on any given day. The tables have turned. Deal with it. You're on a team with a guy who clearly doesn't respect how you do business. And he's right about you using your sexiness to get what you want. I think you'll even admit that. But you have to know that not everyone is going to be on board with your style all the time. So you have to back off. You have to let other people get a word in. You have to stop trying to control everything. If you're as strong a player as you say you are, you won't quit. You'll stick it out and learn from your mistakes. Now, you've had a lot of bad things to say about almost everyone else in this game. Maybe this is what you need to learn some humility and some compassion. Just saying.

And Arsenio? Dude. Take a chill pill. It's really not that serious.

Fully Committed

The Real Housewives of Atlanta is winding down, with the finale just a few days away, and the reunion to follow. All the storylines are almost all tied up, and the ladies seem to be getting along a lot better now. I still love this show, even though it has seen its ups and downs. I can't help it, though, I'll always have love for my Atlanta Housewives.

Kim: I'll start with you because you got engaged, and I am very happy for you. Kroy is an amazing person. Congratulations. However, I cannot bring myself to watch your wedding on tv. Although Kroy is extremely likable, you are not. I do think you're funny sometimes, but your overall attitude and arrogance turns me off. As does your "side boob". So, I will not only be tardy for the wedding, I will be absent. Anyway, back to the episode at hand, I enjoyed your conversation with Cynthia and I thought you two worked things out in a civilized manner. I don't like how you kept bringing Nene up, who wasn't even there when Cynthia made her comment, but we all know you don't do well with little things like actual facts. Also, if you didn't enjoy Phaedra's event (or Willy's event, I should say), all you had to do was get up and leave. No need for rude comments. Kim's grade for the week: D+.

Nene: First of all, congratulations on Glee and your newest pilot! I am so proud of you. I hope you do move to Hollywood and maybe have some cameos on the OC and Beverly Hills Housewives. That would be great. But I really think it's time to put your acting to work for you. I wish you nothing but the best of luck in everything you do. I loved the scene where you're at the bar just asking all your friends in the entertainment industry for advice (hey, Rudy!!). You're thinking about your future and the future of your family, and I love that. I didn't think it was very nice to complain about Willy's/Phaedra's event, so I gotta call you out on that. I also don't love the preview for next week, where Creepy John is giving you more gifts. You have to explain where all that is going. Nene's grade for the week: B.

Phaedra: I think I'm going to compile all your "donkey booty" quotes and make a special book for all us booty-nistas out there. You've got a lot to say about your ass, girl! But it's funny, so I'll take it. I liked your mock-funeral-service-arrangement-consultation, the actors were very convincing. I could see you were nervous, but you pushed through it and the funeral home director was impressed with you. Although, some of your statements sounded a little less than sincere at times. At one point, I was wondering if dollar signs were gonna pop up in your eyeballs, but hey, everyone wants to make money, so I'm not going to fault you for your enthusiasm. It was funny that all the girls had a problem with Willy's event where you were going to make your announcement. Did you not tell them what the event was for? Phaedra's grade for the week: B.

Kandi: I'm happy you're so excited about your adult toy line, but I have to admit, it's a little ... gross to have to watch you and your colleagues talk about it in detail. Just not my cup of tea. Kandi's grade for the week: C.

Cynthia: I gotta say, that wig you were wearing on your lunch date with Kim was EVERYTHING. I loved it. Now, about the episode, you were a little put off by Phaedra's event but you didn't show it as much as, say Kim did. I didn't like that you called it a waste of an outfit and a wig (although that's a great line), because you showed up for Phaedra, and like it or not, you had to stay for the whole thing. It is what it is. I hope people start realizing that you are your own person, and Nene is not in charge of you. Hell, most of your scenes this season haven't even been with Nene at all! I see you as your own person, and I like you a lot. Your modeling and fashion school looks like it's going to be a great success. I hope we see some of the models you discover in the finale. Cynthia's grade for the week: B.

Sheree: I definitely think it's nice Kim told you about her engagement first and in private. It is nice to see that you two are such good friends. But I can't help but wonder when you'll have your next falling out. There does seem to be a cycle there. Anyway, you were bored at the Phaedra/Willy thing, too, and like I said before, there really was no need for it. When you commit to being at an event, you gotta sit there and smile for your friend. That's all. No complaining necessary. Sheree's grade for the week: C.
